Peace Officer Dependent Scholarships

  • Any dependent of a full-time or part-time peace officer employed by or volunteering for the state of Idaho or for a political subdivision of the state of Idaho, which peace officer is or was a resident of the state of Idaho at the time such officer was killed or disabled in the line of duty shall be eligible to apply if going in or out of state for education or votech program/classes not covered under Title 33 Chapter 43.

Ways To Give

How we use your donations

  1. We give immediate financial support of $20,000 to the survivors of fallen officers in Idaho.
  2. We provide educational scholarships to immediate family members of fallen officers and disabled officers in the state of Idaho.
  3. We provide and maintain the memorial to remember those who gave their lives in the line of duty.
  4. We assist the immediate family with travel expenses to the National Memorial in Washington, D.C.. when a fallen officer’s name is added to the National Memorial.

There are two types of scholarships offered to dependents of any full-time or part-time public safety officers that were employed by or volunteering for the state of Idaho or a political subdivision which the public safety officer was a resident of the state of Idaho at the time such officer was killed in the line of duty shall be eligible.

Board of Directors

The Idaho Peace Officers’ Memorial Fund, Inc., Board of Directors meets on the below dates at the Idaho POST Academy at 700 S. Stratford Drive, Meridian, Idaho, at 6:30 p.m. If you would like to attend a meeting, please call 208-489-6500 one day in advance of the meeting date. The building is behind locked gates and your name will be needed in order for you to gain entrance. Special meetings may be called as needed; please check the website.
