Who is eligible to apply? Officer Award: Immediate family members of Idaho Peace Officers who have fallen in the line of duty Idaho Peace Officers who are honorably retired, medically retired due to injuries sustained in the line of duty, or currently certified officers who have served for at least five years The immediate family members of any of the above mentioned Hero Award: Immediate family members of Idaho Peace Officers who have fallen in the line of duty Idaho Peace Officers who are medically retired due to injuries sustained in the line of duty or their immediate family members *Immediate family members include a spouse or children of the qualifying Idaho Peace Officer		General Information: The Idaho Peace Officer Memorial Scholarship Fund has two distinctive awards, the Officer Award and the Hero Award. The Officer Award is a one-time $500 scholarship. The Hero Award is $1000 and is renewable for up to four years. Both endowments can be used for books, tuition, and any other qualified expenses while attending an eligible educational program. The deadline for 2007 awards is January 31, 2007. Application packets can be printed from this web page or obtained by mail. Applications must be postmarked by January 31st, 2007. What is an eligible educational program? Any college, university, vocational school, or other postsecondary institution eligible to participate in a student aid program administered by the Department of Education. Brick Directory Purchase a brick to be placed at the Memorial	Your brick can be engraved with your name or as a tribute to others.	The Idaho Peace Officers Memorial is built with Bricks that have been purchased and personally engraved. The Bricks are laid in the shape of a five-point badge. They create a walkway that surrounds the center of the Memorial. You can be a part of this Memorial by purchasing your own brick, personalized and placed within the Memorial. Many agencies, groups, and individuals have purchased their bricks and now own a personal part of this beautiful memorial.
