The Memorial
"The memorial is a gracefully proud monument to Idaho's fallen officers."
The overall impression brings to mind Idaho's majestic streams and mountains,
a fitting tribute to the names it proudly bears.

The Memorial was dedicated May 15, 1998.
It is designed as a five point badge laid in a red bricked walkway.
The five points of the star are graced with flowering pear trees.
The center of the star is the focal point of the Memorial sitting.
Three sandstone boulders stand proudly within the center of the star.
The center boulder bares the engraving "BLESSED ARE THE PEACE MAKERS"
with a soaring eagle and small waterfall that cascades
into a never-ending stream.
The two border stones finish the sitting.
The matching stones are embedded with beautiful black granite.
The granite is engraved with the names of Idaho's fallen officers.
Two rough hewn stone benches sit at the east end of the Memorial facing the stones, giving a place of solace for those who visit. |

New Scholarship Fund Benefits Survivors of Fallen Officers in Idaho
It has long been a goal of Idaho Peace Officers' Memorial Board to establish an educational scholarship fund to benefit the survivors of fallen Idaho officers and to applaud the efforts of officers currently serving the state or who have served in the past. The fund is now available and qualified candidates will begin receiving rewards by late Spring 2006. The BRICKS are laid in the shape
of a five-point badge.
These BRICKS create a walkway
that surrounds the center of the Memorial.
You can be a part of this Memorial
by purchasing your own BRICK.
Your BRICK can be personalized
and placed within the Memorial.
Many agencies, groups, and individuals
have purchased their BRICKS
and now have a personal part
in this beautiful memorial.
